Sammy Ameobi: “It’s been a great year for me, but I’m not going to take anything for granted.
“This is only the beginning as I’ve said time and time again.
“I’m only a young kid. I’m still growing and getting experience.
“I’m growing in confidence, and looking to continue playing.
“We’re going to Portugal for some tough games there. I’m looking forward to it.
“I love playing football – this is what I live for – and I can’t wait.
“I thank God that I’m in the position I am today. Without him, I wouldn’t be here.
“The main aim’s to change games.
“I’m glad I’ve made an impression, and just want to continue doing that.
“I’ve had a lot of fun. I’ve had three games, which is good to get my fitness up. I’m looking forward to continuing.
“We got a goal ahead. It was going well, and we were playing well.
“We could have got a second, but obviously we didn’t defend well enough in the last minute, and they got a goal back, which was disappointing, really.
“We’ve got to look forward. We’re still getting to full fitness. We’ll just push on from here.”
