We have MORE players out injured at this present time than we had during the 'injury crisis' of last year in October ... and we've played SEVEN games less.
This period last term we'd played Lillerstrom (twice), FK Ventspils (twice), Levadia Talinn (twice) and Fenerbache. With trips to Norway, Latvia and Estonia to contend with.
So what difference are Sam's boys actually doing to the squad?
Seven games less than last term and still Allardyce is moaning about "too many games".
Now Allardyce fears his squad will struggle to cope with a gruelling winter fixture list which sees Newcastle play nine games in six weeks ... when Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd play two games a week for most of the entire season!
Allardyce: "It's very, very important that the squad stays fit now because it starts getting tougher and tougher as the season goes on.
Sam's Backroom Boys Not Having Much Success!
"We are building from here to December, when it really matters, because we have been dealt the blow of so many games in such a short space of time, and four games in 11 days from the back end of December to January 2.
"That's when your squad will really have to be fit and ready and come together.
"But up until then, we have got to keep going game after game, and Tottenham is very, very important now."
