Inter Milan defender Davide Santon‘s proposed move to West Ham United has collapsed after the full-back reportedly failed a medical.
That has left Bilic in a tough predicament with the Premier League starting in just a few days time and it is no secret that the Croatian tactician is in the market for a new left-back.
Santon had emerged as a target on a season-long loan deal last week, but Sky Sports report that West Ham have now ended their interest after he failed to pass a medical ahead of a move to London Stadium.
Santon left the Premier League in January 2015 to join Inter Milan, before his loan deal was made permanent when his contract with the Magpies was terminated.
However, Santon – who can operate at left-back and right-back – has struggled for game time under Roberto Mancini and managed just three league appearances in 2016 for the Nerazurri, with injuries a major problem for him.
