Roberto Mancini's side meet the Scottish champions in the first leg of their Europa League last-32 tie on Thursday evening, and Santon believes that the crowd will have a big role to play.
"We want to win in order to go all the way in this tournament. Celtic are a good side and it won't be easy to get a positive result," the full-back, who is on loan at the club from Newcastle United, told Inter Channel.
"It'll be difficult to play in a stadium like that, as the fans will sing from start to finish and push their team forward.
"We need to have the right mentality and if we get a good result then we'll be happy. I've never played at Celtic Park, but the atmosphere is very similar to the Premier League."
Inter qualified for the first knockout round without losing a game in the group stage.
