The former Man Utd player, who grew up with the likes of David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, and the Neville brothers in Sir Alex Ferguson's famous Youth side, puts his money where his mouth is.
At the start of the season he told a Newcastle cabby (who picked him up at Central Station) that if Newcastle United finished in the top four of the Premiership this campaign he would "pay you £10,000 or buy you a new taxi".
The taxi driver was wise enough to get the former player to write the bet on a beer mat and sign it.
United currently stand in fourth place, and Savage said like on air this weekend: "I am a man of my word.
"If Newcastle do finish top four, I will buy the man a new taxi.
"I said it at the time ... and I stand by it."
