"For him to give a penalty and a red card I was amazed to say the least and I felt it was the wrong decision.
"I felt at the time if the referee had maybe spent ten seconds or had a quiet word with the linesman then he may have seen it differently.
"But he was adamant it was a penalty and a red card so it couldn't have been a worse start for us after 12 minutes against a very good team in Man City.
"But we showed great character to come back and in the end could've won it."
