The Irishman missed a number of Champions League games earlier in the season when Sir Bobby decided to rotate his keepers and it wasn’t an experience he enjoyed.
"There's a lot of competition for places and there are players being left out of every game," he told the Evening Chronicle.
"The gaffer was able to make a lot of changes for the Bayer Leverkusen game and give some players a rest.
"But players want to play every game and I'm no different. Goalkeeping isn't as demanding on your fitness and maybe the outfield positions. I don't feel I need a rest."
