Rumours continue in Sheffield that the consortium led by Lancashire-based businessman Geoff Sheard is about to offer the GOALden Boy a chance to manage at Hillsborough.

But having snubbed former club Blackburn Rovers, is Wednesday the club he is waiting for? I doubt it.

And that is no disrespect to Sheff Wed or its supporters, but the ex-Toon number 9 says he will see out his two year contract with the BBC.

Sheard is in the process of trying to buy out the Hillsbrough club's former chairman Dave Allen.
