Shearer Second Thoughts On Becoming A Manager?

He said back in November, "I have taken my coaching badges so I can become a manager.
"And after all the hard work I'd be disappointed if it didn't happen.
"I don't want to reach 50 and look back as time wasted. I want to give it a try".
Kevin Keegan tried to persuade Shearer to join his coaching staff following his shock return to Tyneside in January, but he declined the opportunity.
Now he doesn't know if management is on his list.
Shearer: "I don't know if I am going to do management at some stage in my career.
"It interests me, yes, but I am happy in what I am doing at this moment in time.
"What I have said to Kevin is, if I do have a spare day I will go in and maybe train with them and maybe do something with the forwards, but nothing has been planned."
