Manager Tim Sherwood says St James' Park is "a tough place to go, it always is", but he thinks an early Spurs goal would have the Geordies turn on their team ... with the memories of Sunderland still fresh in their minds.
Tim Sherwood: “We are happy we are amongst it and leap-frogged Everton, and now we’re chasing Liverpool.
"I havechallenged my players to show their character at St James’ Park tomorrow night.
“It is a tough place to go, it always is.
“I’m hoping it is difficult for those players to play at home in front of their crowd because I am not sure what the mood is like up there.
"Things haven't gone well for them in recent weeks and I expect the Sunderland defeat to be still on their minds.
“But it will be a big crowd again and we will see if they have got any characters up there.”
