The 21-year-old striker will replace broken ankle victim Alan Shearer in the final two games of the season, and will be hoping to add to the eight goals he has already notched this season.
"Obviously, the Shearer-Bellamy combination has been the one we have used this season but Shola has never let us down and he looks the part," Sir Bobby told the Evening Chronicle.
"We will be without Alan tomorrow and Shola will get his chance after being so patient for so long.
"Don't forget that Shola is only 21 and he is going to be a big, big player for us in the future."
