Sir Bobby Has Surgery
Robson, who is an assistant coach with the Irish national team, had surgery Saturday to repair damage to his lung, the Football Association of Ireland said Monday. The FAI said he was hurt in February when he fell skiing.
FAI: "The operation was very successful and it is expected that Sir Bobby will spend a short time recuperating."
Robson said he was feeling well and looking forward to getting back to work, according to the FAI. He is expected to recover in time to join Ireland in Portugal for a training camp in May.
