And today ... guess what ... Moussa Sissoko has his sights set on playing in the Champions League – with Newcastle United.
The French midfielder was linked with a move away from St James’s Park throughout the January transfer window, with his agent trying to get interest from the likes of Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
But, at the end of the day, perhaps he isn't as good as he thinks he is.
The 25-year-old is, for the time being at least, committed to Newcastle, although he does have aspirations to play in Europe’s top club competition.
Speaking on French TV, Sissoko said: “I want to keep progressing and enjoy myself on the pitch.
“I want to play Champions League, with Newcastle if possible.
“For me today, I am a Newcastle player and Newcastle is in my head.
“I want to play in the big competitions, at the moment I am not able to do that.
“Why not play Champions League with Newcastle?”
Sissoko joined Newcastle from Toulouse in January 2013, and still has four-and-a-half years left to run on his contract at St James’s Park.
