Shearer said United were "pathetic!" after the 5-0 pasting at Manchester City, but they bounced back with a 1-0 win over Aston Villa.
And no matter what Sissoko says in defence ... Shearer hit the nail on the head.
The former No 9 said: "Never mind the first hour when City scored the goals, it's the last half hour that worried me. Even though City are looking to playing Barcelona in three days time, only one team wanted the ball and it wasn't Newcastle."
Moussa Sissoko told the Chronicle: “We lost that game against Man City but I think we have shown - as a team - we do have good character.
“We know our crowd want us to win every game but sometimes we can’t. Against Aston Villa the team won so the players and the fans were happy.
“Now we have to be ready for the game with Manchester United. We have two games together at home.
“We’ve won the first one and now we have to do our best to get the three points against Man United.
“It’s true – in the Premier League you have a lot of big teams like Man United, Arsenal, and Tottenham.
“You have to enjoy yourselves and try to do the best you can.
“At home we can beat anybody. We have to play like we did on Saturday and if we do we can win again.”
