... Newcastle midfielder Nolberto Solano says would jump at the chance to play in the Intertoto Cup next season.
The 31-year-old Peruvian knows it is United's only chance of European football next term, and he is willing to give up part of his holiday to return to action early.
Solano: "We have to be professional, we know our target has been Europe all season. Now we have a chance to get it against Chelsea. Our automatic UEFA Cup chances have gone because of Blackburn's good season, but we still have the Intertoto Cup to go for.
"A big club like us needs to be in Europe and we cannot turn our noses up at this. Not many people like it, but our reputation is that big, we must be in Europe. The UEFA Cup is important to us because hopefully next season, we can go on and win it."
Qualification for the new-look Intertoto Cup would hand Newcastle a single two-legged tie with a place in the UEFA Cup qualifying rounds awaiting the winners.
