Nolberto Solano: "Newcastle fans are the greatest.
"Unfortunately, I did not get the chance to say thanks to them when West Ham were up at St James's Park earlier in the season, because I was not in the final 16.
"I was actually at the match, but because I wasn't involved I kept a low profile and stayed in the stands.
"But while I'm not sure whether I'll start against Newcastle on Saturday, I hope to be involved, and I would love to get the kind of reception Les Ferdinand always seemed to get from the United fans.
"And if the Toon Army give me a good reception, and then boo me as soon as I touch the ball, then that's fine with me!
"When I was at Newcastle I always did my best for the club, and I think they appreciate that.
"I'm surprised if Titus (Bramble) said anything bad about them, because they really are among the best in the world, and in a way, the fans down in east London are just the same.
"We have so many injuries it reminds me of last season at St James's Park, and it'll be a tough game for both sides.
"After nearly being relegated last season, we're hoping to finish in the top half of the Premier League this time round, and if we can beat Newcastle, we'll probably manage this."
