The Peruvian has just been sacked by Universitario de Deportes in his home country.
Tommy Cassidy: “It would be refreshing to see a former Premier League player come down to the Conference and take the job on.
“It would be a difficult job and his knowledge of the lower leagues would be questioned by some.
“But he’s a character and he could bring a lot of influence to the club.
“Ian Bogie did a fabulous job at Gateshead.
“Two promotions and stabilisation in that division is to be applauded.
“It can be hard because they don’t get huge crowds and that can motivate the opposition sometimes.
“So to stay in the hunt for the play-offs for all that time against former Football League clubs is a good job.”
