He has ruled himself out of being the next Hearts manager - a job that just seems to be in title alone, because the chairman picks the team!
The Evening News revealed yesterday that Souness has been in contact with the Romanovs. Edinburgh-born Souness would certainly fall into the high-profile category of manager that majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov desires but it's understood that he made it clear he was not interested in the job.
A source close to the Scot said: "Graeme is looking to get back into the game but he doesn't feel the Hearts job is right for him. He agreed to talk too the Romanovs out of courtesy but he told them that he didn't want to be considered for a role at the club."
