Steven Taylor 'We Have A Lot To Do'!
United boss Joe Kinnear went to watch him at Ninian Park, in the crucial European Championship qualifier.
Taylor: "This is just half-time and there is so much to play for.
"It would be a great honour to captain the team in next summer's Euro finals. But we have work to do yet.
"We got off to a bad start and we weren't happy to concede those goals.
"Now we are looking ahead to finish the tie on Tuesday at Villa Park.
"The tie is still alive and there is all to play for.
"We gave them far too much space last night, but the second half we were much better.
"We have to play much better on Tuesday and don't give them as much time on the ball."
England Under-21 coach Stuart Pearce paid Wales the ultimate compliment after his side's 3-2 UEFA Championship play-off first leg win in Cardiff.
Pearce: "Welsh football at under-21 level, with the players they have, is the best I have ever known it.
"Even if Wales' more experienced players had been out there, they would not have done any better.
"I know John Toshack has taken a lot of their better players for the senior side, but I am not sure any of them could have done any better than the lads Wales had on show.
"My team were told in the dressing room straight afterwards that they still have hard work to do. This is about professionalism now and we had a big, big wake-up call in the first-leg.
"The game had everything, and it was just what I thought it would be like.
"Wales are a very good side with spirit, as are England. The game was a credit to both teams.
"It was a fantastic learning curve for my boys. We knew what the Welsh would offer, they are a fantastically good side and they won their group ahead of France and Romania.
"We were under no illusions, they can score goals. We do not often concede goals, let alone two.
"We are in for another exciting game on Tuesday at Villa Park in the second leg."
