The France international has been linked with the newly-promoted Ligue 1 club.
"I saw it, but with Monaco, there are new names of players every day," the Shields Gazette quotes Debuchy as saying. "It makes me smile."
Debuchy moved to St James' Park from Lille in the January transfer window.
