Taylor Gets Buzz Wearing Black And White

 

Having progressed through England's youth ranks - he will win his eighth cap at Under-21 level at Elland Road tonight as Peter Taylor's side take on Austria in a fixture vital to their hopes of winning their European Championship qualifying group.

Steve Taylor: "I love pulling on an England shirt. But for me, it still doesn't beat the thrill I get from playing for Newcastle United. I love playing for my club and not even playing for my country can come close to that.

"It helps my club game playing international football - I can only learn from playing against these foreign players and Newcastle will benefit. It's a different game, playing for a different manager with different players and different tactics, and it will help me to improve. It's something I relish. It helps all young players to develop."
