Taylor Looking Over His Shoulder At Mackems!
Being a Geordie, he knows the position more than most, but insisted Newcastle will continue to battle right to the death this season.
Taylor: "Arsenal just had that bit of quality we lacked on the night, but things aren't going for us right now.
"You saw that at the end of the game when Nicky Butt's free-kick hit the bar and fell their way.
"In the first half we sustained what they threw at us most of the time and did OK.
"The second half of the game, like Saturday, has killed us.
"The morale is still good, though. People are prepared to put a shift in here and the lads will keep going.
"We have had to play the same players game-in, game-out because of injuries, and we will keep fighting for the cause.
"There is still a long way to go for us, we know that. Our season now starts on Sunday - it is a massive chance for us to do well against Middlesbrough, and we have to take that opportunity.
"We have to go out and do it.
"We can beat anybody at home and we'll be ready for Boro."
