... Nottingham Forest in the January transfer window.
Steven Taylor. back in the Newcastle team because Mike Williamson was "injured", dedicated Newcastle United’s victory over Leicester City to the Toon Army.
But one national newspaper today says Alan Pardew will let Taylor move the City Ground as he tries to get James Lascelles to end his loan deal.
The first question would be ... will Pardew still be in the job in January?
James Lascelles
Taylor made his first Premier League start of the season against Leicester and helped preserve a much needed clean sheet on home soil.
Taylor: “I don't take any notice of newspaper speculation. And the fans shouldn't read too much into it either.
“For me it was great to get out there and play and win the game.
“Everybody put their body on the line and we deserved the three points.
“For us we concentrate on each game at a time.
Steven Taylor
“Getting the win was a massive one for us. Getting the first three points was difficult, it has been difficult at the start of the season but hopefully it’s a turning point for us now.
"Hopefully this win can kickstart our season. That’s what the fans need.
“It’s a massive relief for us and we are moving forward.
“Hopefully we can kick on now thanks to Gabs (Obertan).
“It was a difficult game against Leicester, they press very high and they work very hard as a team.
“They made it very difficult for us.”
