Steven Taylor: "The two games you look for when the fixtures come out at the start of the season are the derby matches with Sunderland.
"We're playing well, and Sunderland lost their last game, but it's about who wants it more on the day, and not the form book.
"It's up to the players now. We'll be in front of our home fans, and we've got to put in a great performance to have a chance of beating Sunderland.
"You don't need a team talk if you know what it means to the fans. As soon as you cross that white line and see the fans' faces, you know exactly what a derby match means to them.
"You just don't want to come off that pitch without a win.
" When Emre scored, it just lifted the whole of Newcastle. I can't explain how good it was to be on the winning side.
"We drew at the Stadium of Light earlier in the season. We didn't play particularly well at their place, and we know we'll have to do better this time around.
"We want to be the top club in the North East, and we believe we can do it. We've got the players and the quality."
