A police horse was punched as Newcastle United fans reacted with fury to their 0-3 home defeat to arch-rivals Sunderland in April.
Yobs hurled bottles at officers in a bid to get through police lines and attack Sunderland supporters in Newcastle city centre.
Since then, officers have managed to trace and arrest 103 suspects on suspicion of violent disorder, after circulating CCTV images of people they wanted to trace.
That is on top of the 29 who were arrested on the day.
All of those arrested are subject to bail conditions preventing them from attending Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and England matches.
