Derry, not a man to upset, has moved to allay fears over divisions in the QPR dressing room.
Rangers players were reportedly involved in an angry bust-up following Saturday's FA Cup embarrassment by MK Dons.
But Derry, who was an unused sub in the 4-2 upset to the League One side, insists QPR's draw with Premier League champions Manchester City proves they are united in their battle against the drop.
Shaun Derry: “Listen, things get said after games in changing rooms up and down the country. Things get said in the heat of the moment.
“We were disappointed going out of the Cup, but the way we went out was even more disappointing and the result itself.
“I’m from the old school and like to discuss positives and negatives.
"When you come off the field losing 4-2 in the manner that we did, we had to reply in the right manner against Manchester City and we definitely showed that.
“We proved a point and showed that we are together.”
