At least Faye can have the satisfaction of knowing he is one of many who have had the troubled French midfielder by the scruff of the neck.

Scott Parker allegedly threatened to push N'Zogbia's mobile phone in a certain part of the body during a team talk, and others have come close to knocking the winger 'into next week'.

The pair had to be dragged apart by team-mates after a heated dispute turned physical.

The row occurred over the wage disparity between players signed by former chairman Freddy Shepherd and those signed by new owner Mike Ashley - or so we hear.

Apparently an 'inside source' says: "Charles can be a wind-up merchant and Abdoulaye didn't take very kindly to it.

"It was incredibly heated but the other players calmed them down."

N'Zogbia has been linked a move away from Newcastle this summer, and FINGERS CROSSED FOR HIM!
