The Toon's New "Mars Bar Kid"

Such is the buzz around the kid, Newcastle academy chief Kenny Wharton has compared him with Geordie legend Paul Gascoigne.

Wharton: "Kazenga LuaLua is our Gazza. He's a very special talent, but crackers as well.
"I've no problem talking about Kazenga, because he wants to play in our first team, he sees a chance for himself here and he's already been involved with the senior squad.
"He plays anywhere. A bit like Gazza, he's such a talent that if you tell him 'this is your position, you've got to stay there', you won't get the best out of him.
"He's a lively lad. When he went up into the first team I imagine he was quite quiet, but with us, he is our dressing room."

Showed at an early age he was going to be a world-beater and if he had half a brain I'm sure he would have accomplished it. What a waste of talent. Had the skill, the balance, the strength and the vision of a master, and the arrogance to make it all happen. But after leaving Newcastle he started to believe his own hype. One of the greatest midfield players this country has ever produced but he blew it ... big time! Born in Dunston and signed from Redheugh Boys Club. Joined Spurs in 1988 then went to Italy, Rangers, Boro, Everton and ended up at Boston.
