Steven Taylor: "We had to play to their game, which is long ball at times and dealing with second balls.
"But we enjoyed the game and controlled it.
"Not many teams will come here and get a result like this.
"In the first half the lads up front were getting battered by Stoke's defenders but they were getting up and getting on with it and putting themselves about.
"In midfield the likes of Yohan (Cabaye) aren't used to this sort of thing, but he was spot on.
"In defence we stuck at it and Tim Krul pulled out some good saves. Overall, as a team performance, the lads fully deserved it.
"We play as a team. Everyone knows we can't carry anybody.
"We won't get carried away but it is nice to win here because Stoke are a very difficult team to beat."
