Cheick Tiote: “I like to organise things but being captain in the future is something we have to see about. The first thing and the most important thing is to win the games.
“Being captain is not an easy job. Everybody has their own jobs to do and I must do mine.
“This game against Arsenal, I have been looking forward to for a long time.
“Playing Arsenal is a huge occasion for me and the team.
“It is also a difficult start for us.
“We have to do everything to win this game – it is vital we start the season with a bang.
“This time we can’t give them a head-start.
“Every player must sweat blood for the cause and the crowd will be behind us.
“We saw the atmosphere last time and it was one of the craziest games I have ever been involved in.
“Everywhere I go in Newcastle people ask me about this goal. It makes it hard to forget!
“I must focus on this game this time around, it is a different occasion again.
“My first season was a good one for me but now I need to do even more and show I am an even better player.
“It won’t be easy to do that but the key, as always, is hard work.”
