When asked how much they had raised, spokesman former-Liverpool supporter Mark Jensen said "we cannot confirm how well it is doing financially".
However the group says it has now attracted interest from local businesses and political leaders, but some suggest they are grasping at straws.
Mark Jensen: "Due to financial obligations, we cannot confirm or deny the amount pledged already, but we can say it's going well and we're attracting serious players from the business world.
"We also have a series of important meetings coming up this week which could help the campaign further."
What concerned some supporters was the fact they turned down talks with Derek Llambias ... suggesting they didn't have anything to put on the table.
