Toon Can Expect Tough Time From Moore
Wilson: "Ian has played a lot at the top level of English football with some very big clubs. We're looking to raise the standards at this club and that's what we have been doing over the summer.
"For Ian to choose us above other clubs, some of which were big clubs, is a real shot in the arm for us. This proves our intentions to other clubs in the league. The last couple of years have been difficult at Leeds United for one reason or another and a lot of their players may not have fulfilled their potential in that time.
"Ian has missed two years of football and that can definitely work in his favour. He has a big hunger for the game. We hope it will rub off on the players around him. Ian still has a lot to offer.
"Hopefully the young lads will learn a lot from his experience, as they will with Robbie Elliott and some of the other lads."
Although away tickets for the Newcastle end have sold out, tickets are still available for Tuesday's friendly, priced £15 for adults and £5 for concessions.
