Shane Ferguson: “Losing Jose was a big loss – he’s been unbelievable this season.
“But hopefully, I’ll keep on impressing, and get my chance.
“It’s an unbelievable opportunity and it’s great that the manager has that bit of faith in me. It’s great to know he has time for me.
“I will just go out and give it my all and take it from there.
“I was so happy to be out there – to walk out in front of 50,000 was a dream come true.
“If I’m needed against Stoke City in the next first team game I’m ready.
“It was a tough match to come into, but it was good to get another appearance.
“It was a disappointing result, but I was glad to show what I can do.
“It was a physical game – it was fast and furious – but I really enjoyed it.
“The atmosphere in the changing room’s still good, but everyone’s disappointed.
“The confidence is high, and we expect to do well every game.
“We’re sitting nicely in the table, and we’ll have to go on from here.”
