But after one training session the injury flared up once again.
After undergoing a scan he must now wait for results to see whether he has any chance of making it for Dundee United’s Scottish Cup final date with St Johnstone next month.
Jackie McNamara: “Curtis isn’t right yet and he won’t be involved against Motherwell on Saturday
“He felt his thigh in his first session back with the rest of the boys and he travelled back down for a scan in Newcastle yesterday.
“We’ll get the results of that and take things from there, but it was disappointing that he felt it so quickly.”
