As Neil Lennon’s men were described as “gritty, willing workers” at home, in Madrid the Hoops’ stars were being mentioned in very different terms.
They were highly critical of Georgios Samaras labelling the attacker "a waste of talent", adding: “The Greek striker has everything minus interest, as if he doesn’t like football.”
The paper was fierce with their criticism of Beram Kayal and goalkeeper Fraser Forster for their part in the Arda Turan’s winning goal.
On the duo they said: “Kayal, you almost have to lie on the ground to achieve not clear the ball, and Forster, graceful as an elephant.”
