Ian, well known to many die-hard Geordie fans, was involved in a mass brawl between Newcastle and Stoke City fans last December.
Newcastle magistrates heard the 50-year-old, of Norham Terrace, Jarrow, was part of a group of fans which took on a 30-strong gang of Stoke fans, who had travelled from the Potteries for an arranged fight in Wrekenton, Gateshead.
Police identified him as one of about 30 "risk supporters" who gathered in Newcastle city centre pubs before travelling to Gateshead for the fight.
The court heard he was involved in a clash between rival Sunderland and Newcastle fans at the Stadium of Light on October 25 last year.
He was caught on camera as part of a group of fans fighting Sunderland fans.
After a three-hour hearing, Kapke was given a five-year football banning order by magistrates, which prevents him from going to games in England and Wales and going to town centres where Newcastle are playing.
He was also ordered to pay £600 costs.
