My name is Scott Fitzgerald I have created a website called www.letsbuynewcastlefc.com my goal is to lead a fans led consortium of toon army fans to buy Newcastle United Football Club with the help of every toon fan. I currently have several media outlets in Sky Sports / Newcastle Chronicle etc interested in running the story and giving us major news coverage but without the help of the fans we have nothing to run on. Now your website mentions that the club should be run by a trust well I totally agree and with my websites initiative we can make this dream a reality. Newcastle United has great heritage and a sound infrastructure with my ideals and thinking along with your help with links to very source we need in the toon army we could make this club "The Real British Barcelona" everything is in place we just need your added help.
My ideals are as follows as mentioned on my site.
1- We can achieve this by getting 2 million fans to donate £50 each or 1 million fans donating £100 each the fact is either way we will have then raised the sufficient funds necessary to own the club and everybody who has donated will become a Newcastle United shareholder and we will as a club interact very closely with the fans and hold annual weekly meetings to guage supporters views.
2- I would bring back Kevin Keegan one last time and team him with Alan Shearer where by they have creative control and share there longterm vision with our ambition and with this initiative it can be realised as long as the Toon Army rise to the occasion. This requires the toon army to do what they can to remove Mike Ashley from his regime and if taking a small donation from our wage packets or savings can successfully remove him from power then fantastic. A great man once said "To be the man ? You need to beat the man!!" While Mike Ashley is still involved with Newcastle there is only one loser and thats us the fans of the club and the game.
3- Once The club has been stabilised I will look to take our youth policy to the next level and improve the current club structure by starting a grassroots policy. This policy would be moulded on the current initiatives involved at major clubs like Ajax & Arsenal where by we work in the community to find "The Next Big Thing" this will involve players going to the schools and making motivational speeches in there time off away from football related training to motivate the next generation of kids to work hard. We would also like to setup a scholarship scheme where if a kid from an under priviledged background with exceptional talent cannot afford to travel or pay for education the club will help them out and fulfill there long term dreams aswell.
My scheme has all the potential to be a fantastic opportunity and I have bided my time in getting things done but now is the time to strike and with your help and my websites initiative we can=2 0succesfully run Newcastle United Football Club the way it should be.
