Newcastle United fans see their team rise to 14th in the league with some of them joking we could be heading into the Champions League.
Rafael Benitez has admitted to the Chronicle that he could have a new problem at Newcastle United, now they have won twice in a row.
Newcastle took 10 games to pick up their first victory in the Premier League, but they have now picked up six points from their last two outings.
The Magpies are now up in 14th place in the Premier League table, and have eased concerns over relegation.
But Newcastle’s improvement may mean that Benitez doesn’t have as much money to spend in January as he initially expected.
And when asked whether Benitez expected to have a reduced budget in the new year, the Spanish boss said: "It's a nice problem to have.”
Benitez was given very little funds to spend in the summer at Newcastle, with the Tyneside club having to look for bargains rather than big money additions.
There were fears that Newcastle’s failure to invest was going to see them embroiled in a relegation scrap, but some of the doom and gloom forming over St. James’ Park has been lifted by their recent run of success.
