Can you remember when Laurent Robert (pictured) stormed out of the City Of Light when he was dropped for the Tyne/Wear derby and headed west in a taxi before the match? Well that good old Latin spirit is back, as Spaniard Albert Luque stormed out of St James' Park before kick-off on Saturday.
Luque joined Newcastle in a £9.5million move from Deportivo la Coruna two summers ago, and has done very little to justify the price tag. Obviously frustration got to him after, again, finding himself sat in the crowd rather than picked for the squad.
His miserable time at Newcastle shows no sign of taking a turn for the better, after the Spaniard was reportedly involved in another bust-up at the weekend.
He was not even named to be on the substitutes' bench for the visit of Watford, and despite being quizzed by the media, Roeder again refused to be drawn on the subject and 'hang out his washing in public'.
Roeder: "I have no idea whatsoever what his thoughts were. He was in the squad but he wasn't selected as a sub. There's nothing further to be said."
