WE TOLD YOU SO!
Crystal Palace fans are rapidly losing faith in the former Newcastle boss.
Crystal Palace fans have turned on former Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew as their wretched 2016 form under the 55-year-old continued at Turf Moor this afternoon.
Ashley Barnes’ 94th minute winner condemned the Eagles to a 3-2 defeat as Palace succumbed to their sixth defeat of the season.
They have now only won five games in their last 34 in the league and if the league table was going off 2016 results alone, Palace would be rock bottom.
Pardew was infamous during his spell on Tyneside for his streaky results and from a Newcastle United point of view it is very much a case of ‘hate to say we told you so.’
Palace fans are quickly losing patience with their manager and there have been some angry responses to today’s defeat on social media.
Palace fan Chris Swanston tweeted: “We need to get a new manager in to assess what he needs and then give him some money in January. Pardew HAS to go now. #PardewOut”
Chris agreed, adding: “Watershed moment for Pardew...losing the fans rapidly, this cannot continue and the board have to act.”
Joshua James would like to see a new manager in before January, tweeting: “Time for Pardew to go. Let’s not leave it too long. Give a new manager time to assess the squad before the January window. #cpfc”
Liam labelled the performance as ‘classic Pardew’, tweeting: “This is classic Pardew. Win 3 in a row, lose 4 in a row. He’s not taking us forward. No signs of improvement.”
Danny Gauntlett is puzzled as to why anyone would still back Pardew, tweeting: “How can people still be defending Pardew with the squad we have? It’s like they want to be relegated. #cpfc”
Meanwhile, Ray Apperley expressed his frustration at their lack of defensive knowhow - something Newcastle fans can well sympathise with.
He tweeted: “Lost all faith in #pardew still not addressing defensive issues just keeps playing the same week in week out.”
