It is 80 days since Newcastle were relegated and we have heard precious little from our dear owner.
Apart from one statement (which seemed to have been written by a five-year old, telling us how he used to follow England in the World Cup) Ashley has REFUSED to talk to the supporters.
There happens to be a 'million and one' questions that Mr Ashley could have answered, but he keeps a silence.
As he lines up the eleventh player to leave the club this summer - and not one come in - fans are starting to believe he is out to DESTROY the club.
This was seen as a pivotal week in the history of Newcastle, with a new buyer set to move in.
But it has ended up just like all the rest this summer - with Ashley knocking back offers to buy the club, while he keeps on selling our best players
This summer has been a confusing whirl of misinformation and lies. Trust in those at the top of the club has reached an all time low - as Derek Llambias waffles on trying to convince HIMSELF what he is saying is true - and not doing a very good job of it.
We’ve endured weeks of mind-numbing bollox, as Ashley seems to feed Llambias with lies - and we, as the 'thick Geordie nation', are expected to take it all in.
But Mike Ashley could be in for a very big shock, as we hear Toon fans are planning to gate-crash his 'private space' and ask him selected questions - face-to-face.
We had a meeting last night with several members of the London-based NUFC supporters club in Kings Cross, and they say they are going to turn up at one of Ashley's business meetings.
One told us: "We’ve had enough. It is time for something to happen.
"Ashley's reign has been a disaster and we cannot endured this for much longer.
"He wants to destroy the club, and the fans won't sit back and let it happen.
"He won't even talk to the fans!
"He stays away from the games and runs the whole show from London.
"So it's time he stood up and was accountable for what he has done."
Another fan said: "Since Keegan walked, he has never taken the time to connect with the fans and communicate.
"It's time he gave us some answers, like why he tried to appoint Joe Kinnear and David O'Leary and snubbed Shearer."
