GROUND
Away supporters are housed in the lower tier of the North Stand where up to 3,000 fans can be accommodated. If demand requires it, then part of the Doug Ellis Stand can also be allocated to away fans. A visit to Villa Park is normally an enjoyable experience with a good atmosphere being generated within the ground. Please note that most fans tend to frequent the refreshment area and toilets that are right by the turnstile entrance to the away end. There is in fact another refreshment area and toilet block at the back on the other side of the North Stand (on the new Trinity Road Stand side), which tends to be quieter. The delicious 'Football's Famous Chicken Balti Pie' (£2.50) is available inside the ground. Also just inside the entrance there is a programme 'hut' from which not only the current match programme is available from, but also a selection of older programmes are for sale, including normally a number involving the away side. The Club operate a 'no smoking' policy in the seated areas of the ground, but not on the concourses.
PUBS
There are a number of pubs in the area, but most have bouncers on the door and some charge to get in. The Cap And Gown, formerly the Witton Arms' is a decent pub, and half is given over to away fans. It is only two minutes walk from the away end. Otherwise there is The Harriers on Broadway which is ten minutes away.
The Barton Arms is on High Street.
GETTING THERE
The ground can be seen from the M6, if you are coming from the North side of Birmingham. Leave the M6 at Junction 6 and take the slip road signposted Birmingham (NE). Turn right at the island (the fourth exit), the ground is well signposted.
TRAIN
Take the short train journey from Birmingham New Street to either Aston or Witton station. Witton station is nearer to the away end and only a few minutes walk.
