Forster has impressed since joining the Canaries in August, having enjoyed a brief spell at League One rivals Bristol Rovers.
He has made 12 appearances in all competitions, keeping seven clean sheets.
The deal means can play in next weekend's FA Cup 2nd Round tie against Carlisle United and will be eligible if the East Anglian side reach the play-offs.
