Another 3rd Round tie, like 1905. Vic Keeble scored the only goal and we went on to glory beating Manchester City in the final 3-1 (Milburn, Mitchell, Hannah). On route we beat Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Huddersfield and York City.

Six-goal hammering of Argyle on the south coast with goals from George Eastham (2), Bobby Mitchell and Len White (3). But we lost in the 4th Round 3-1 at home to Scunthorpe!
Steve Harper: "We beat them a few weeks ago, so they'll be looking to get one over us.
"The FA Cup's a very special competition, but our priority this year isto get out of this division.
"We've got a lot of games between now and then, so depending on the injury situation, who knows how we'll do at Plymouth?
"We've probably got half a dozen games between now and then, and that's a long time in football. We could get a run of bad injuries.
"We won't even begin to think about the FA Cup until after the game against Derby."
