Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka has admitted to the Daily Mirror that he was confused at times against Leicester City.
Newcastle were beaten 2-0 by Leicester at St. James’ Park at the weekend, and their performance in the contest was far from impressive.
The Magpies never got going in the match, and barely threatened Leicester.
Benitez’s side looked bereft of confidence, and Dubravka admits that some of the team were confused at times with Newcastle’s tactics.
“We have to go in the same direction. Every player,” he said.
“Everybody has to know which kind of system we play. Rafa has told us many times how we should do things. We were a little bit confused in a few moments but for me, it was more important how we react and we did not react well.”
Newcastle had an early chance against Leicester which Joselu wasted, and if that had gone in things may have been different.
However, the Magpies never really threatened after that, and Leicester put them to the sword.
Jamie Vardy and Harry Maguire scored the goals for the visitors, which have left serious questions being asked around St. James’ Park.
Newcastle are still searching for their first Premier League win of the season, after what has been a massively disappointing season to date.
