Carroll: "Hopefully we can get the goals we need to level things up. Everybody in training has been saying we can do it and that is the mentality.
"We saw in Newcastle's game against Alkmaar that it can be done. It happened to the first team - and we believe we can do it."
"For me and the rest of the lads it is such a big night to be playing at Anfield. It is a big stadium and they are a good team, but we can take some heart from the first leg.
"We had more chances in the first leg than people think. We just didn't put them away. If we get a good start we can do it.
