The French club have not surprisingly said that they do not want to sell their star man.
"We didn't pay much to sign him, but we could sell him for a big profit," said Nicolas de Tavernost, the club's president.
"We are discussing the matter, and I cannot say more at the moment. What I can say is that we're very careful about the club's spending.
"A football club is also made to discover new talents, which is what we did with Pauleta. Once these talents are grown up, they can be sold for profit."
