Toon Move For Evans?

Evans has had two loan spells with Sunderland and has emerged as a Kevin Keegan target now that Richard Dunne is set to stay at Manchester City.

Evans is among Roy Keane's summer targets, and the 20-year-old is unhappy at the lack of first team matches at Old Trafford.

It's a tough call because Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and Wes Brown are ahead of him in the pecking order.

The Shield's Gazette report: "His girlfriend is at Newcastle University, and a source close to Evans has told the Gazette that he is keen on a return to north-east England for first-team football.

"However, Ferguson is unlikely to sanction another loan deal for Evans."
