Toon Must Get Used To European Mentality!

It amazes me how so many players are moaning about the number of games in the Championship .... and Taylor is one.

For God's sake, the Toon have not played a game for a fortnight, and what about the Top Four who each have 10-15 players away on international duty ... then have treks to Europe next week?

We had that ourselves not too long ago, but you never heard Sir Bobby crying in his beer. The more games the more chance of success.

Chris Hughton has already 'disposed' of the Carling Cup by fielding the kids at Peterborough .... so what else do we have? The FA Cup ... and I'm sure he will do the same when the times comes to challenge for that.

Ryan Taylor: “I’m looking forward to Forest, not only to play but because I recovered when I did and I’m raring to go.

“It was disappointing, really, and in a way quite weird, because I got told I was going to be out for at least two or three weeks, so to come back after one was credit to the physios here and myself for trying to get back fit.

“A few people might have said it was a bit too soon, but I felt great.

“I know my own body, and I was just happy to be out there.

“There are games thick and fast – one minute you’re having a massage, the next you’re playing.

“You wake up, and you’re back playing again – it’s crazy.

“We’ve got lads who are going to dig in there throughout the season, and that’s what we need.”
