“It was a nice night for us, it was like a European night for us again.
“It was good for me – the Deportivo fans were behind my goal and were shouting for the whole game which made it a really good atmosphere.
“I really enjoyed it.
"I scored a penalty for the youth team in the FA Youth Cup against Stoke City five seasons ago and I was prepared to take one in Spain.
“Harps asked me just before the shoot-out but I think that they’d already picked them.
“It was good to win a trophy.
“We said before the game we had to do it and we have.
“We’re off to Rangers next for the big test at Ibrox and we couldn’t be in better spirits.
“We’ve got Peter going back and we’re all looking forward to it.
“When I was on holiday and I found out I was ringing everybody to talk about it.”
